Modding Lense?

  • Ok, I have a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ20... I know there is a way to go super macro...(get another lense and hold it up against it backwards)
    I am looking for a CHEAP way to go telephoto or super telephoto(without carrying around my huge telescope)

    I know there is a telephoto converter lense that Panasonic sells for my camera..... HOW does that lense work? How could I make one?

    Am I just being stupid trying... or save for the panasonic converter?

    Any ideas?


  • Personally, I bought myself a 70 - 300 and thats pritty much telephoto for me.
    Its about £150 for the ok cannon ones, and worth that cash.

    It really depends how telephoto you need to get? you could get a 70 - 300 and then add another tele converter (never thought of that) :P

  • are you asking about making a teleconverter? I haven't seen any that people have made...successfully that is. But if you figure it out, make sure you post it here, and if you do try... duct tape...lots of duct tape =)
